This was a small illustrator experiment i did to see weather it would be a good media to use for my final, i really liked the way it turned out as it looked very tidy and professional, although it was very time consuming, therefore i decided not to use it for my final.

Experimenting with end page designs :)

I set myself a task to create end pages for the story book Hansel and Gretel. I first researched the story and found things that were mentioned, and used throughout the fairy tale, and then drew them separately in my sketch book. Once completed, I then scanned them onto the computer where i moved them around in photoshop to create a pattern. Once this was completed I then went on to run a gradient through it. I chose purple and pink because they are very vibrant and eye-catching.

Here i used a drawing from my sketchbook to re-create the photograph but using my sketch. 

I used photoshop to colour it in and add a drop shadow to give it the 3d effect!

Flaco the mexican cat accordion book

This was a task i gave myself during the holidays. 

The idea was to create an accordion book once given a simple idea/character. 

My character was Flaco the cat! :D

Monster themed ABC poster! wooooo

I drew all of my Letters in my sketch book and then went over them in a black pen to give them a defined edge. Once i had completed them i went on to scan them into photoshop where i arranged them on the page, after this i added the crumpled paper background and scanned in some paint splats to make the page look as if it was hand made.

For these photos we used foam board and ink to make prints. We also used the negative to create a print.
